Looking Back, Moving Forward – 10 Characters Who Shaped The Education System

In celebration of the 150th Anniversary of State Education in England FED hosted a virtual event in which numerous key figures across the Education, Political, Business and Third Sector came together. Each individual provided an insight into why they feel Education is so important to them, why they are celebrating this momentous occasion, the things they feel we have achieved and the changes that they think need to be made as we work together to build a long term plan for Education.

Michael Barber discusses the 10 key characters whom he believes have shaped the current education system over the past 150 years. He also reflects on the missed moments, the key moments, the best moments and how we can use these to build an education system for the future.
